Event Details

Join Cascadia Prosperity Forum for an enlightening discussion about BC’s health care system with Sue Paish, CEO of Pharmasave.

As one of Canada’s leading retail drug store chains and a leader in community based pharmacy, Pharmasave provides a unique interface between patients and their medical system.  Hear the Pharmasave perspective on the current status and future of our health care system and about how pharmacy and pharmacists play a role in the delivery of health and wellness to British Columbians.  Sue will discuss how pharmacies and pharmacists work in the province of BC, where the voices of the Pharmacy Associations and pharmacy retailers and generic manufacturers fit in, and how it is possible to have a more holistic approach to the delivery of health care. She will discuss how more partnering between the government, insurers and 'alternate' health care providers such as pharmacists can bring better patient care and lower costs for a more sustainable health care system.

About Sue Paish: As the CEO of Pharmasave Drugs (National) Ltd., Sue is responsible for the overall strategy and direction for Pharmasave’s over 400 community based retail pharmacies and health centers coast to coast.  Sue recently joined Pharmasave from the international law firm, Fasken Martineau. She has been  appointed Queen’s Counsel, named one of “Canada’s Most Powerful Women - Top 100'' (2005), “Vancouver’s Most Influential Women in Business” (2004), and one of “Canada’s Top 25 Women Lawyers” (2003).
